The Waianae Coast has some of the best beaches in the state. Makaha Beach - Kaena Point - Ko Olina Beach Take a look at some other beaches on Oahu Makaha Beach is one of the very best. Half an hour walk down Kili Drive or few minutes by car gets you there. Good swimming and body surfing. (The U.S.A. Surfing Competitions were held at Makaha Beach in October 1995.) Kaena Point is about 10-minute drive north-west to the end of the road and than spectacular one hour walk. Great for whale & dolphin watching. Ko Olina Beach is 15-minute drive south at the JW Marriot's Ko Olina Resort - famous place for weddings. Waianae Beach is 7-minute drive south - nice local touch.
